Screening for oral language/speech disorder - preschool child (0-5 years)

180$

Oral language/speech disorder screening aims to determine if a child may have language/speech difficulties and if further evaluation is needed. Screening appointments last 30-45 minutes and allow the speech-language pathologist to:

  • To provide an initial professional opinion and issue general recommendations

  • To determine if a more in-depth evaluation is necessary

  • To guide the parent towards the various services available to them, both in the public and private sectors

  • To give advice and provide documentation on language development and stimulation.

2

Virtual parenting consultation (without the child)/Parenting coaching

120$

This individual session offers parents a dedicated space to discuss their child's development and needs. During the consultation, we:

  • Let's review the history and context of the child's case.

  • Let's answer parents' questions and concerns

  • We offer practical and personalized advice to support the child's development and well-being.

  • Let's determine the next steps or recommendations appropriate to the situation.

3

Screening for orofacial myofunctional disorder - preschool child (6 years and under)

180$

Screening for orofacial myofunctional disorder (OMD) aims to determine if a child presents with signs suggestive of orofacial dysfunction (e.g., mouth breathing, atypical tongue posture, atypical swallowing, oral habits). It also helps identify whether further evaluation is recommended.

The screening sessions, lasting 30 to 45 minutes, allow the speech therapist to:

  • To issue an initial clinical opinion and formulate general recommendations

  • To identify the possible presence of signs of OCD and to judge the relevance of a complete evaluation

  • To initiate the first preventative steps, including the establishment of basic good orofacial habits

  • To raise parents' awareness of factors that can influence orofacial development

  • To guide the family towards appropriate services, both in the public and private networks

  • To provide practical advice and documentation on habits that promote orofacial development
